Picked up a new book at the library yesterday. It's interesting, so far, about giving your children a 'classical' education at home. I'll let you know what I really think when I'm done with it completely.
You know what really makes me crazy about library books?
The DAMAGE people inflict on the poor books. This book is colored inside with GREEN CRAYON. WHY would people not take better care of their books if they're from a library? Why would they be where a child could color in them? I've had three children, and they've never colored on my walls, they've never drawn in a book (unless it was MADE for that). Does that mean I hovered or supervised my children too closely? I don't think so . . . I get compliments on them often. They're children, NOT monsters masquerading as children.
While perusing the Book Peddler website, I came across a book that I LOVED as a child. I, being the age I am, could never remember the NAME of the book. Gone Away Lake! I was thrilled, and immediately reserved it online at my local library. I can't WAIT to read it to the boys. Yes, I'm going to read it to them, because I want to re-live the story myself, but WITH them.

What I'm currently reading - - again - - that's one thing good about the memory being bad. It doesn't bother/annoy me in the least.
