Does anybody know how to remove the hard crud that's left when you peel off duct tape?

I've tried alcohol (Dad's suggestion).

I've tried Goo Gone (got the sticky part off, but left the dried, hard stuff).

The hardened glue is on the actual window - they're replacement windows - so it's plastic or fiberglass?   Therefore, I can't use a metal scraper (plastic didn't work) and I can't use a razor blade (although it worked well on the window).

Any suggestions? (other than beating the child that did this??)  I really want to get this cleaned up for Nick, before he moves in.

Well, we're painting . . . but obviously I'm taking a break . . . but hubby is starting to slam things, so maybe I should go back up and get to work.

You remember that movie, right?  The one with Tom Hanks about the house they bought, and they kept having to put more and more money into it?

Well, we've been trying to decide what we want to do to the house FIRST.  As in, there's a LIST.  Yeah.   Ry & I have spent a large amount of time every weekend looking, figuring, planning, measuring and so forth. 

As a backstory, the house we're living in  was remodeled from the 2x4s in by my Dad and me.  Now, since we got married in November, I'm wanting to make it more 'Ours' instead of 'Mine'.  So yeah.  Lots of plans in the works, and it makes me tired.
